    It locates near everything

I went there and found out that there is no reservation on the site, so I had to stay in a room which I hadn't booked for. The room looked like it is not done with the renovation yet. The bathrooms are awful... I don't like being there and have no plan to be there ever again

    Not What I Expected

The atmosphere felt unsettling due to the mix of permanent residents. Avoid if you're looking for a traditional hostel vibe. Definitely pack light. I regretted my two suitcases.

I traveled alone and stayed 4 nights at this Hostel. Positive things: - Very clean bathroom - Excellent location - Cheap - Free towels

What I didn't like: - Poor breakfast (only bagels) - Beds were making A LOT of noise!!! - The walls were thin and you could hear everything! - beds were small - Did not offer lockers - Had to pay for Wi-Fi

The bed was as hard as asphalt. Couldn't sleep because of it. Elevator the size of a tiny closet, television had no power cord or cables so no tv. Radiator for lack of heat. The whole experience was horrible.

    comfortable bed
    convenient location
    shared kitchen

Totally recommend for a date night

Comfortable bed, convenient location, with a block away from the subway station making it easy to explore the area and enjoy breakfast in their shared kitchen.

    Poor cleanliness and service.

The hostel is very fairly priced and seemed updated. The bathrooms were huge with large glass showers. The kitchen was nice and well equipped and the lounge was very comfortable with a large tv, so if i didn't feel like going out i could relax down there. After spending the night at the airport, this hostel felt like a palace. Great stay :-)

The plumbing is very old and noisy and i would be woken up several times a night to a clanking sound that lasted several minutes.

good stay but needs better room comfort

The staff was friendly and very informal . I appreciated having a fridge to store my snacks and drinks during my short stay.

The room atmosphere felt a bit dreary compared to the rest of the hostel.

Very good value for money. The place seemed recently renovated. Excellent location in upper west side, close to subway & Central Park. Neighborhood looked safe. No weirdos/hobos in the hostel. A perfect choice for a short stay in Manhattan if you're not too demanding on comfort and services.

Old building located on Amsterdam Av, so it's very noisy. Plumbing also noisy. Breakfast could be improved (only coffee & muffins) then again fooding is not the purpose of this type of establishment.

    friendly staff
    vibrant location
    poor hygiene
    unclean facilities
    uncomfortable bed

The positive aspects included friendly staff and a vibrant location, made exploring convenient. The experience was marred by poor hygiene standards. Stains on surfaces and unclean facilities were particularly concerning. The bed was quite uncomfortable, detracting from any chance of a good night's rest.

    cozy tv corner
    leisure lounge
    noisy radiator

The room came with no blankets, and I was freaked out by the noisy radiator that kept me up all night. I did enjoy the leisure lounge with board games and a cozy TV corner to relax after a long day. Just a heads up, the Wi-Fi only works in the common area, a bit inconvenient but didn't ruin the fun 😊

    great activities
    close subway access
    clean facilities
    bathroom improvements

The kids loved the proximity to the subway for easy trips around the city. The staff even organized activities for visitors, especially for my niece.

In my wife's opinion, the bathrooms could use family-friendly upgrades.

    would come again

Location is great, just a block from the subway. My room had heating, a shared bathroom, trash cans, and lockers. The chill space was nice for working. There's a fridge available too. Plenty of bathrooms helped during busy times. It's a decent place for the price, but bathrooms could be cleaner.
